We started Speedy Tuesday somewhere half-way 2012 and has now get to be the most in-demand topic here on Fratelloreplica watches. Were very thankful to your enthusiasm and submissions! This year, we shall continue our Speedy Tuesdays all of which will possess some great Omega Speedmaster related give-aways like a manifestation of our thanks to you, our readers! In one of our recent Speedy Tuesday topics we asked our readers about the Speedmaster Mark III. One of our readers u boat emblems watches , Santosh, submitted a few photos of his much beloved Speedmaster Mark III with black dial. omega watch repair los angeles The Speedmaster Mark III (1971) was the successor on the Speedmaster Professional Mark II (1969). In the meanwhile, Omega was producing the 'original' Speedmaster Professional a.k.a 'Moonwatch'. Which means that is safe to mention that none of these 'Mark'-versions from the Speedmaster should regarded as a successor on the 'Moonwatch'.The Speedmaster 'Professional' Mark III in our reader Santosh is created after 1972. Why? Well, her wording 'Professional' about the dial. A thing that wasn't there about the dial on the Mark III if this arrived on the scene in 1971. Omega chosen to put the word 'Professional' (instead of 'Automatic') on the dial after 1972. In such a way, it seems sensible that they actually dropped the 'Professional' wording in the first place. It turned out never NASA approved (which led to adding 'Professional' for the dial on the Speedmaster) and second, as the Speedmaster Mark III used an automated chronograph movement as opposed to the famous hand wound caliber 861 movement. The photo below is of the non-Professional version, belonging to Chuck Maddox (see more at our interview with him). He wrote a great article around the Mark series, click the link.Anyway, the reference number 176.002 always stayed exactly the same. In reality, you'll find three different Mark III models. Six if you take the update in the word 'Professional' rather then 'Automatic' into account. The Speedy Mark III was available with three different dial colors: black (as pictured), blue (sun beam) and gray.As we discussed, the truth from the Speedmaster Mark III looks very like one of the Flightmaster. When you compare the Flightmaster and Speedmaster Mark III side-by-side though, you will recognize that true in the Speedmaster Mark III is more extreme rolling around in its theme. The dimensions of the Speedmaster Mark III are 51.6mm x 41mm x 15.9mm plus the watch weighs 157.2 grams . Oahu is the heaviest and most extreme shaped Speedmaster on the Mark-series. Picture above is extracted from Old-Omegas, your source for old Omega brochures and manuals.Inside, Omega used caliber 1040. A movement determined by Lemania's caliber 1340. Down the road replica rolex , Omega did a chronometer certification just for this movement too and labeled becoming caliber 1041. This movement merely has been utilised in the Speedmaster '125' though, only 2000 pieces made (click here). The lay-out in the Mark III dial is very just like the dial on the Speedmaster '125' of 1973.The Speedmaster Mark III is certainly not for that weak hearted, since it's dimensions, looks and weight will surely not suit everyone. In line with its owner Santosh though, it's a great conversation maker between watch enthusiasts. replica breitling watch fake
